Cockatiel
Cockatiel is a delightful fruity mimosa floral with champagne fizz and a deliciously sweet, slightly powdery vanilla-and-cream drydown. Please note that the limited edition packaging is now sold out.
From Zoologist
Australian spring arrives, bearing dazzling frocks of yellow blossoms to dress the bare golden wattle trees. Clouds of sweet honeyed fragrance, caught upon the breeze, carry an invitation inland, where a flock of cockatiels happily take up the celebration. Emerging from dusty nests, the birds are ready to preen and prance. On a wobbly stage of branches, vivid crests bop to the rhythm of their joyous songs. After a final encore, the flock takes flight. Alighting in a nearby field they share a delightful brunch, buzzing with the thrill of their stunning recital.
Zoologist Cockatiel exudes joy. A sunny burst of yellow acacia offers a friendly welcome. Dots of raspberry and tart rhubarb suggest a hint of mischief, like a pair of rosy cheeks beneath a golden plume. Finally, soft notes of musk and vanilla enfold the vibrant Cockatiel, like downy feathers cushioning the brashness of this cheeky bird.
Zoologist Cockatiel was formerly known as “Powder and Dust”, a perfume created by Sven Pritzkoleit, published under his own brand, SP Parfums. The creative director of the scent was Yana Lysenko. This perfume won the 2019 Arts and Olfaction Awards under the Artisan category. In 2020, Sven closed his perfume business and sold the formula of Powder and Dust to Zoologist to continue its legacy.

A very tart and candied opening with the mere hint of something mysterious and somewhat offending to the nose. These two characteristics don't seem to go together at all - yet whatever is going on is more interesting than it is off-putting.
There's just enough of this darker/fecund note to make you keep checking back to see where it's going.
After an hour or so, the tartness softens and starts to sweeten and the darkness recedes and becomes more like twilight. It's the way you want to smell if you are lucky enough to still be on the date after midnight.
This is a very special cologne/parfum. I ended up using the entire sample in a few days and bought the larger bottle.
There is nothing else like it.
The rhubarb comes through and gives it that initial tartness. In the end, you are getting more cashmeran and musk.
I also have Squid, Seahorse, Macaque Yuzu and Bee. Squid was my favorite, now I am hooked on Cockatiel.
I am male - I think of myself as very masculine. Which means I listen to a lot of heavy metal, eat red meat and get into tons of fights. (Just Kidding)
My wife likes Cockatiel and Macaque best - My co-workers and students like Cockatiel scent a lot.
It's in my top 10 of all time. Sparkling, fizzy, and TART champagne, rhubarb, and raspberry. It's a genius combination. This is one of the happiest scents I've ever tried. I adore this scent.
Maybe I am odd but I love the Pungent fresh cut grass/hay note that slowly morphes into a tangy sweet aroma that lasts for at least 8 hours if not longer. Zoologist is a favorite niche niche brand that surprises and delights me with every scent. Some I love more than others, but I appreciate the artistry of all of them.
