Arquiste's Peau was a finalist in the "Indie Fragrance of the Year" category of 2020's Fragrance Foundation Awards.
Peau ("skin" in French) by Arquiste is a luxe unisex skin scent inspired by the thousands of sculptures commissioned by the Roman emperor Hadrian to memorialize his lost lover, Aninoös. In this composition, Arquiste founder Carlos Huber and perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux set out to capture the physical and spiritual presence of the body through scent.
The result of their collaboration is an immersive blend of slightly salty spiced amber and woods with a swoon-worthy musk accord. Created to idealize, memorialize and preserve the contours of physical love in our memory.
Notes: ambergris accord, proprietary musk accord, clary sage, white pepper from India, coriander seed, sargassum, leather-like labdanum derivatives, okoume wood from Gabon, Ambermax
