Ernesto has become one of Trudon’s most emblematic signatures scents. Carmen is not conceived as a literal olfactory replica, instead a new interpretation that preserves the spirit while embracing a more sensual and refined expression.

Named after the heroine of Georges Bizet’s opera, Carmen embodies a spirit of absolute freedom, untamed, sensual, and defiantly independent.

Tobacco, the cornerstone of the original composition, gains depth and nobility, illuminated by a subtle touch of rum. Leather is refined, revealing a more tactile, sensual texture. Woods and resins bring structure without heaviness, while ambroxan and an exceptionally pure patchouli introduce a modern scent. The fragrance evolves gracefully on the skin, revealing multiple facets over time.

Carmen fully embodies the DNA of Trudon’s haute parfumerie. It reflects the House’s devotion to noble raw materials, deep woody and resinous accords, and bold olfactory statements. A fragrance of character, where complexity arises from precision, texture and evolution on the skin.

"Imagining Ernesto on the skin was both a challenge and an obvious choice. I wanted to capture its strength and character, rewriting it in the most intimate way possible.

Tobacco remains its backbone, but it is now more defined and sculpted. Broader, deeper, it asserts Ernesto’s signature from the very first seconds. Leather becomes more textured, more sensual, less frontal. It gives body and depth without ever overpowering."
