Emergent French niche fragrance brand Les Eaux Primordiales was founded by artist and engineer Arnaud Poulain. The fragrances are made in the French northern countryside region of Haut-de-France, where Poulain was raised in a family of artisans and farmers. After studying mechanical engineering and then perfumery, he launched the Les Eaux Primordials fragrance collection, created in collaboration with the perfumer Amélie Bourgeois, his former teacher. Les Eaux Primoridales' Manufacture de Parfums is housed in an historic castle built in the 1800s, now known as the Primordial Estate.
