In a departure from the typical dewy portrayal of peonies, historic French candle house Trudon takes everyone's favorite garden bloom and contrasts it with sleek sandalwood and subtle oud. The new Altaïr candle reinterprets desert sand dunes in a modern way with berry-tinted petals over amber tones and soft leather.

Following the success of its limited edition, Altaïr returns and permanently joins the Trudon collections.

With the Altaïr collection, Trudon journeys to the desert and sand dunes: the woody, floral fragrance brings forward oud’s strong character mixed with the finesse of a warm peony.

Using warm and amber tones, the collection reinterprets sand dunes in a modern, graphic way: its design plays with sculptural light and golden-brown shadows, with shifting ripples on the desert surface and key geometric elements.

Altaïr transports us to a majestic, dreamlike destination.

Each glass vessel is hand-crafted in Tuscany, and thus unique. The glass shape is inspired by champagne buckets and the Trudon emblem is inspired by a bas-relief found at the old Royal Wax Manufacture, which used to belong to the Trudon family. Located in Antony, near Paris, the domain now belongs to the Church and is home to the nuns of the Saint-Joseph de Cluny congregation.

The wicks are made of cotton, with a weave and diameter that varies depending on the shape and size of the glass, as well as the burn characteristics of each candle.

About Trudon Candles
The wax formulas of Trudon candles are optimized by centuries of research and experience, giving them exceptional olfactory and burn qualities. When correctly taken care of, no smoke leaves a Trudon candle and no wax is left on the sides of the glass.

In order to get the most out of your candle, burn it until the entire surface of the candle melts.
When burned simultaneously, it is recommended to leave at least 30 cm of space between each candle.
Do not leave candle burning unattended. Do not set in a draft. Keep away from children, curtains and pets.
Should the wick require centering, gently readjust to correct position when the wax is still molten. Allow candle to solidify before relighting.
Should any black smoke appear, trim the tip of the wick. It should be clean and no longer than 5mm at all times.
Always protect the table or surface on which the candle rests (with a wood or ceramic plate, for example).
To protect the glass, always ensure that 0.5 centimeters of unmelted wax remain for Classic-sized candles. (Always leave at least 3 cm of non-molten wax at the bottom)
Keep your candle in a dry and temperate environment, between 60 and 80° F.
The first use of your candle should occur within the two first months after its reception.
