French Cowboy was launched in Paris in 2025 by perfumer and Ministry of Scent alum, Ashley Santiago, and her partner in perfume and life, Adrien Ollat. Their goal is to collaborate with interesting, fresh cultural voices to create bold new fragrances with top-quality ingredients and accessible prices.
The brand's name was chosen in part as an homage to Ashley's Mexican grandfather, who was a cowboy across the Americas, as well as to Adrien's French heritage. Additionally, it reflects their drive to deliver French fine fragrance quality while never shying away from a risk worth taking. Of note, Ashley is also the youngest professional perfumer at the legendary fragrance house, Givaudan, in Paris.
