Absolument Perfumeur is a French niche fragrance house founded by Pascal Rolland, the man behind the return of Absinthe liquor to France, after a century-old ban that started in 1915. At his distillery, Liquoristerie de Provence, Pascal was inspired by the aromas created during absinthe distillation and set out to create perfumes based on cold extraction of the absinthe plant (wormwood).
Working with a master perfumer from Grasse, Absolument Parfumeur launched its first scent in 2006. Absolument Absinthe is a lovely fresh absinthe fragrance with additional notes of black tea, cannabis, a floral heart and clean musk drydown. The ensuing line of fine fragrances are inspired by the plants of Provence combined with gourmand influences.
