PAST EVENTS

Events have been a cornerstone of our business since we first opened our doors — offering a vibrant way for perfume lovers and makers to share their passion for olfaction. From workshops to fragrance launches, readings to straight-up parties, we've hosted luminary perfumers and founders the likes of Andy Tauer, Maya Njie, Chris Collins, Bruno Fazzolari, Josh Meyer and so many more.

Events have been held at our shop in San Francisco and on-location as well as via our Zoom event series initiated in 2020. For the curious minds, here are some highlights of past events...

ZOOM TO PARIS WITH MAISON VIOLET

Meet the founders of this stunning fragrance brand from Paris, who have resurrected and modernized a heritage French house. Held over Zoom, with a send-home smelling kit that includes 6 samples and raw perfumery ingredients.

FLORAL ACCORDS WORKSHOP WITH MAURICIO GARCIA AND INEKE RÜHLAND

Learn the fundamentals of creating beautiful floral accords. Taught by perfumer and aromatherapist, Mauricio Garcia with a guest appearance by indie perfume pioneer, Ineke Rühland. Taught via Zoom with a send-home blending kit.

AN EXPLORATION OF SCENT INSPIRED BY SENSE, WITH MAYA NJIE

We're thrilled to introduce Maya Njie and her striking modern fragrance collection. Zoom to London for Maya to take us through an event smelling kit that includes samples of her collection and the artwork that inspired the scents.

REMOTE LINE PRESENTATION WITH CHRIS COLLINS

Zoom to NYC to meet Chris Collins, brand founder and creative director who works with top perfume talent to create luxe fragrances that tell the story of Harlem's renaissance eras. Samples and ingredients sent out prior to the event.

JANUARY SCENT PROJECT LIVE DIGITAL EVENT WITH JOHN BIEBEL

Designer, painter, Fragrantica writer and perfumer John Biebel of January Scent Project will Zoom to us from his New England studio to take a deep dive into his fascinating perfumes, artwork and process. Smelling kit sent out in advance.

ZOOM TO GRASSE WITH VILLA DES PARFUM

Zoom to Grasse France to meet the founder of Villa des Parfums, a non-profit fragrance house dedicated to funding an educational center for refugee children in the Grasse region. Sample set and perfumery ingredients sent in advance.

INTRO TO MIXED MEDIA PERFUMERY WORKSHOP

Join us at the shop for an introductory perfumery workshop that teaches the fundamentals of creating a mixed media perfume. Perfumer and and aromatherapist Mauricio Garcia will teach us about perfumery history, structure and materials as we blend custom perfumes to take home.

J-SCENT TRUNK SHOW WITH HIRONOBU KOBAYASHI

We're delighted to welcome J-Scent fragrance evaluator Hironobu Kobayashi from Japan to our shop in San Francisco for an immersive trunk show. Hironobu will present his fragrances alongside the materials that make them so special.
